Job Description:
As the MRP Planning Manager, you will be responsible for executing Material Requirement Planning (MRP) in alignment with the production plan to ensure that materials are available on time and in full to support production needs. You will work closely with suppliers, various internal teams and import team to ensure smooth operations and innovation launches. Other critical success factors are to have effective inventory control to optimize stock levels, minimize obsolete stock and reduce business waste. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless flow of materials while maintaining cost efficiencies and minimizing stock risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Requirement Planning (MRP):Execute MRP to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials (right item, right quantity, right time).
- Communicate 3-month rolling forecasts to suppliers to prepare for feedstock requirements.
- Inventory Management:Control and optimize stock levels of raw and packaging materials according to stock policies, including managing cycle stock, safety stock, MOQ, lead time, and shelf-life.
- Identify risks related to stock levels, such as slow-moving, obsolete, or out-of-stock items, and take corrective actions.
- Regularly prepare and present quarterly Slow-Moving and Obsolete Stock (SLOB) reports to reduce business waste and achieve cost savings targets.
- Procurement and Supplier Management:Place purchase orders with suppliers based on material requirements.
- Work closely with the import team and suppliers to follow up on shipment schedules, manage shipment re-scheduling, and handle import clearance.
- Ensure all documents are aligned for overseas payments and import clearance.
- Innovation and Transition Management:Oversee material transitions during innovation projects, ensuring minimal write-offs and timely availability of materials for new product launches.
- Data Accuracy and Reporting:Own and maintain master data and Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy for all materials.
- Provide regular reports and updates to key stakeholders on material availability, inventory levels, and risks.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:Any Bachelor's degree and more prefer Supply Chain/ Logistics Management, Business Administration/ Management holder.
- Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in material planning, procurement, customs clearance, or stock control, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with local and oversea supplier communication and management.
- Skills:Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and inventory management tools.
- SAP or other AERA system experience is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders for continuous supply chain optimization.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to mitigate risks and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Supply Chain Expertise:In-depth knowledge of MRP, procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
Project Management:Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and ensure projects related to innovation or stock transitions are completed on time with minimal waste.
Adaptability:Flexibility to respond to changes in production plans and material availability while maintaining high performance.
Communication Skills:Effective in both verbal and written communication, including the ability to present data and reports to senior management.
