Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Regional Controller to oversee financial operations and provide strategic financial leadership for the Southeast Asia and Australasia (SEAA) region. This role will ensure the integrity of financial reporting, drive financial performance, and support business growth initiatives within the region.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Lead and manage the financial controlling function for the SEAA region, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
* Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local regulations, IFRS, and Unilever internal policies.
* Develop and implement robust internal controls and financial processes to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
* Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to regional leadership to drive business performance and achieve financial targets.
* Oversee the preparation and submission of regional financial statements, management reports, and statutory filings.
* Manage financial risk, including foreign exchange exposure, credit risk, and commodity price risk.
* Lead and develop a high-performing finance team across the SEAA region, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
* Collaborate closely with global finance teams, regional business units, and other functional departments to support overall company objectives.
* Drive efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations through process optimization and technology utilization.
* Act as a key business partner to regional leadership, providing financial expertise and decision-making support.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) highly preferred.
* Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in financial controlling, with at least 5 years in a regional or senior leadership capacity within a multinational company.
* Demonstrated experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is a significant advantage.
* Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting principles within SEAA countries.
* Proven track record of managing complex financial operations across multiple countries.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong leadership and people management capabilities, with experience leading diverse teams.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in financial planning software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and advanced Excel.
* Ability to travel frequently within the SEAA region as required.
* Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in other regional languages is a plus.
