Position: Assistant Finance Manager – Record to Report (RTR)
Department: Finance
Location: Seoul, Korea

Main Purpose of the Job

Deliver accurate management reporting and ensure timely closing of supply chain costs to support business performance analysis and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Month-End Closing & Management Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for leadership.
  • Consolidate financial results and provide variance analysis vs. forecast and prior periods.
  • Support global reporting packs.
  • Maintain and update reporting hierarchies (cost centers, profit centers, market structures).
  • Validate structural changes for accuracy and consistency across systems.

Supply Chain Cost Closing

  • Execute month-end closing for supply chain costs (materials, conversion, logistics).
  • Validate cost allocations and ensure accurate postings in SAP.
  • Reconcile production and inventory movements with finance records.
  • Analyze cost variances (standard vs. actual) and provide insights.

SCOA Compliance

  • Ensure all postings adhere to Unilever’s Standard Chart of Accounts.
  • Monitor and enforce correct usage of GL accounts, cost centers, and functional areas.
  • Support governance reviews and implement corrective actions for non-compliance.

Governance & Controls

  • Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance.

Process & System Management

  • Maintain data integrity in SAP and reporting tools (BCS, Power BI).
  • Drive simplification and automation in RTR processes.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential

  • 3 –7 years of experience in finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS)
  • Experience with SAP (FI/CO/MM)
  • Analytical skills for variance analysis and cost drivers
  • Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent written and verbal English

Preferred

  • Experience in FMCG
  • Team player with excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in SOX and internal audit
