WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

The Site Environmental Specialist supports the Site SHE Manager managing Environmental improvement activities to achieve excellence at the site level. S/he works with site SHE team to identify and implement improvement plans to achieve sustainable SHE excellence by reducing environmental impact as measured in the core KPIs.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
• Design the cultural transformation strategy of our people, with an approach based on sustainability.
• Define & execute the strategy for the decarbonization of the site based on Unilever goals.
• Support the deployment of the global/cluster SHE strategy, policy and standards in the site to achieve excellent sustainable results.
• Responsible to deliver Environmental results E2E.
• Drive environmental risk assessment and assist in implementation of appropriate controls.
• Reduce the site’s environmental impact in the areas of COD, hazardous & non-hazardous waste, SOx & CO2 emissions and water & energy consumption.
• Aid the Site SHE Manager leading the ENV + Sustainability Pillar in accordance with Unilever Manufacturing System.
• Attain a thorough understanding of the Unilever PSM Program as it relates to environmental metrics (if applicable to the site PS risks) and support deployment in the site and support the application of Unilever guidelines and procedures for Process Safety assessment.
• Influence line management and drive environmental leadership
• Monitor site legal compliance and ensure the site meets all local/national regulatory requirements and Unilever standards
• Assist the Site SHE Manager to develop & lead the internal crisis committees and environmental committee; support the site leader in leading serious incident investigation and analysis.
• Conduct trend analysis from environmental incidents, near misses, safe behavior observations and deep compliance audits.
• Assist in delivery of training programs.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS
• Environmental Sustainability degree
• Data management and analysis
• Advanced command of: Excel, PowerBI, Power Point
• ISO14001, LEED & Lighthouse certifications
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
