Pepsodent/PS/Signal operates globally and is the undisputed number #1 Oral care brand in 8 of its top 10 markets. After years of slow growth, Pepsodent is back with 8% - 10% CAGR over last 2 years while bringing in significant GM for Personal Care. In 2023, Pepsodent was the ONLY brand to have 90% Business Winning Share.
  • Looking forward, continuing the growth and profitability for Pepsodent, primarily in South-east Asia, South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, is the key success factor for Oral Care 2025 Vision.
  • We are also one of the most purposeful brands of Unilever with the highest SLP score across all oral care brands globally. We are on a mission of ensuring that no one, irrespective of where they are from or their living conditions, suffers from poor oral health. Through our school program covering 100 million kids, free dental check-ups, and a range of products designed for all needs, our brand stands between consumers and the most wide-spread and preventable disease on Earth – Oral Decay. We are the pioneers of teledentistry – an effort to move the brand into service.
  • The role of the Global Senior Brand Manager Pepsodent Future Core is responsible for driving the premiumization agenda of the brand. There are 2 large platforms that are critical for Vietnam – Green tea and Natural Whitening. This role will lead these platforms globally and ensure its continued success in Vietnam. These are together expected to uptrade the consumers while keeping competition at bay. This role holds high visibility within Unilever Oral Care Leadership team and provides multiple opportunities for independent brand and team stewardship, agency and cross-functional leadership, and creativity. The successful candidate must demonstrate elevated levels of passion, creativity, an enterprising spirit, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • The Senior Brand Manager will have 1 Brand Manager reporting into the role, also based out of Vietnam.

Main purpose

  • We are looking for a passionate, driven marketeer, that has will to deliver mixes and make things happen and at the same time bring the magic to make innovations that can become moon shots for Unilever.
  • In order to achieve that, we are redefining what a Pepsodent Future Core Brand Manager delivers for our brand. It is also the reason why for the right candidate we are flexible on the work level we can offer.
  • Be accountable for analyzing the brand’s performance in the cluster and competitor intelligence with inputs from local markets, proactively identifying issues and opportunities for critical decisions or insights into innovation planning.
  • Transform communication model from TV and Digital led to creating unmissable social surround.
  • Outstanding future ready premium innovations that become a beacon for Oral care across the world.
  • Premiumize Oral Care globally through benefit segments and formats. Holistically evaluate feasibility of new formats, benefits and consumer centric initiatives across portfolio. Support Key Strategic Initiatives liaising with stakeholders across the globe
  • Proactively scanning for micro and macro trends both within and outside the category.
  • Scoping for potential partnerships with external open innovation platforms and start-ups.
  • Work in close partnership with R&D, PDC and other internal cross functional partners in identifying and defining the roadmap of innovations.
  • Explore technology and formulation improvements that can support next generation claims and benefits that push us significantly beyond competition.

Business skills

  • Proven track record in crafting successful concepts and impactful pack designs.
  • Keen to understand of the science of product and art of communication.
  • Excellent project management skills. Must have had strong experience on managing complex networks, and ideally multi-country and cross-regional initiatives.
  • Experience in working with markets to localise global plans.
  • P&L understanding. Clarity on what drives disproportionate growth and margin for Unilever and our customers.
